Join us
Your voice can become part of Lira.
Do you enjoy singing? Would you like to develop your voice and make music with others? Join the Lira Male Choir in Warsaw. We share a love of singing, a willingness to practise and the joy of hearing individual voices come together as one ensemble.
Lira is also about people and friendships built over the years. We meet at rehearsals, prepare concerts and share experiences that stay with us long after the final note. Some members have been with the Society since childhood and now pass their passion on to others.
No formal musical education is required
We are an amateur choir. What matters is musicality, an interest in choral music and a positive approach to regular practice. If you have sung in a choir before, we would love to meet you. If you are only beginning to consider singing, please get in touch too.
What will we sing?
Our repertoire includes sacred, folk, popular and patriotic music, as well as Christmas carols and pastorals. We sing a cappella and with accompaniment in four male voice parts: two tenors, baritone and bass. Artistic Director Marcin Cmiel guides the ensemble’s musical development.
