Symbols and insignia

Members of the Lira Singing Society wear the Society’s own badges.
The design was created by the renowned artist Henryk Janas.

The badges are made of silver. To recognise outstanding singing achievements or service to the Society, first-class (Silver Lyre) and second-class (Golden Lyre) certificates were established, alongside gold-plated silver and gold badges. The Society’s banner was completed in October 1999 in the workshop of the internationally renowned artist Julia Drozd-Pobielska.

The front of the banner depicts a golden lyre, the symbol of our Society.
The reverse shows an eagle in flight and Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music.
The ebony pole and its finial were made by Henryk Janas.
